Future Quy Nhon – Coastal city in central Vietnam

May 5, 2020 By James Clark 1 Comment

Quy Nhon

Quy Nhơn is the capital city of Bình Dịnh Province in central Vietnam. This coastal city is about halfway between Da Nang and Nha Trang. While it’s not as internationally famous as those two cities, it’s been gaining popularity both domestically and internationally. Quy Nhon has a population of around 300,000 people, compared to about 400,000 in Nha Trang.

Quy Nhon is served by Phu Cat Airport, 30 kilometres northwest of Quy Nhơn. Vietnamese airline Bamboo Airways began operations in 2019 and are registered in Quy Nhon. They are owned by the FLC Group, who have hotels and resorts in Bình Dịnh Province. Their plan is to expand internationally and have direct flight to Quy Nhon, thus bring traffic to their hotels.

The city itself has a beach front (like Da Nang and Nha Trang), though the best beaches are outside the city where more resorts are being built.

Here are some of the projects happening in and around Quy Nhon.

Scary stuff ! Quy Nhon is one of the last beautiful beach cities (along with Dong Hoi I’d say) that haven’t developed too much yet. Not for long apparently!!
