Hi, I’m Janes, and Future Southeast Asia is a news site dedicated to transport and urban development in Southeast Asia. The site covers topics such as construction, urban development, heritage conservation, infrastructure, and transport in cities of Southeast Asia.
Future Southeast Asia is an independent site written by myself (and the occasional guest writer).
In addition to the articles on this site, I publish the Future Southeast Asia newsletter.

Where in Southeast Asia?
The site covers the cities I visit most in Southeast Asia: Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur. I make trips all over the region, so you can see where I have been in the destination menu bar.
What this site provides
Future Southeast Asia provides fact sheets on major transport and urban development projects. I put together all known articles, photos, and videos in one place. I’ve found that project information can be fractured across several sites, or be too much of a sales pitch (when on real estate sites).
I visit cities around the region to compile construction reports. Paid subscribers get access to these reports.
[Visiting an abandoned urban development in Vietnam.]
This site doesn’t offer investment advice on real estate projects.
