A concept map of the future Ho Chi Minh City Metro that combines officially proposed and new lines together. If Saigon had a subway like Shanghai, this is what it would look like.

Southern Vietnam and Cambodia Railways Concept Map
As part of the Ho Chi Minh City Metro Concept Map I also made a map of Southern Vietnam and Cambodia railways. This map shoes HCMC in relation to the Mekong Delta, the proposed Central Highlands Railway, and proposals in neighbouring Cambodia.

Ho Chi Minh City Metro Map: unofficial map of proposed metro lines
A map of the proposed HCMC Metro. 6 metro lines, 1 light rail, and 2 monorails will make up this new Ho Chi Minh City transit system. I used this map as the foundation of the HCMC Metro concept map.

I’ve been keeping a tab on news of any proposed railways in Southeast Asia, including any new proposals or an old one that has begun construction. I made a map at Nomadic Notes that visualised current and proposed railways of Southeast Asia (as of 2017).
