The Hue Tramway is a proposed tram network in Hue, Vietnam. The tramway was discussed by the Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI) and Vietnam Postal Media JSC with leaders of Thừa Thiên Huế province in August 2022.
The presentation video shows four tram lines:
Train Tram (Blue)
City Tram – Line 1 (Red)
City Tram – Line 2 (Yellow)
City Tram – Line 3 (Green)
The Train Tram runs on the same route as the current North-South Railway, which will be rerouted when the railway is upgraded to the express railway. The current railway passes in front of Hue Airport, so the tram will be an airport railway for Hue.
Line 1 runs from the train station to the riverfront.
Line 2 provides a connection from the city centre to the citadel area.
Line 3 provides a connection from the city centre to new urban areas to the east.
