According to the draft report on planning of Dong Nai province for the period of 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2050, the province plans to plan four new urban railway lines in the area.
4 new urban railway lines including urban railway (UMRT) along the Cai river (UMRT 1), from Bien Hoa airport to Metro line 1 (HCMC) at the new administrative area (Bien Hoa Industrial Park 1).
In this study, the orientation of the urban railway along the Cai river will go on high, both suitable for the current traffic infrastructure conditions and at the same time creating riverside urban landscape architecture for Bien Hoa urban area.
Regarding the route, the route starts from the new administrative center, follows the banks of the Cai River (Ring Road 1 of Bien Hoa City) to Ha Huy Giap Street, passes Bien Hung Park along Phan Dinh Phung Street and ends at Bien Hoa airport. The total length of the route is 11.5 km, excluding the length of technical roads, waiting roads, and Depot connecting roads.
As for the Depot location, the proposed location in the new administrative center of An Binh ward, Bien Hoa city, in the future, is expected to be the station square, connecting urban railway lines, with Metro line No. 1. Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien extends to Dong Nai.
The entire length of the Cai riverside route is 10 km long. The expected number of stations in the first phase is 11 stations.
The urban railway route Bien Hoa – Nhon Trach – Long Thanh (UMRT 2), the route will start from the station square of the new administrative center of Bien Hoa along the route DT 771 to Nhon Trach connecting Long Thanh light rail – Thu Thiem connects to Long Thanh International Airport.

The total length of the route is 25 km, excluding the length of technical roads, waiting roads, and Depot connecting roads. The expected number of stations in the first phase is 8 stations.

The urban railway route Bien Hoa – Trang Bom – Long Khanh (UMRT 3), the line starts from the station square of the new administrative center of Bien Hoa along National Highway 1 to the perimeter of Bien Hoa city, continues along the Trang route. Bom – Xuan Loc returned to Long Khanh city.

The proposed location of the Depot is located in the new administrative center of An Binh ward, Bien Hoa city, the area that will later be the station square, connecting the urban railway lines, with the Metro line No. 1 Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien extends to Dong Nai.
Long Khanh – Long Thanh urban railway (UMRT 4), the line starts from Long Khanh station along National Highway 56 to Long Giao town, goes in the direction of route DT 773 connecting Depot of Long Thanh – Thu Thiem railway.
In this study, the Long Khanh – Long Thanh urban railway line will be oriented on the ground and suitable for the current traffic infrastructure conditions and propose a plan to keep the land fund for the future route. . The total length of the route is about 30 km, excluding the length of technical roads, waiting roads, and Depot connecting roads.
Along with that, it is proposed to share the depot of the Long Thanh – Thu Thiem railway line.
The length of the Bien Hoa – Trang Bom – Long Khanh route is 27.5 km long (excluding the shared section of the Long Thanh – Thu Thiem light rail route to Long Thanh international airport). The number of stations expected to be arranged is 9 stations.
