The Bangkok Mass Rapid Transit System currently has eight lines operated by three separate companies. There are three new lines under construction, and extensions of other lines are planned and under construction.
This is a resource page for all current and proposed urban rail transit lines in Bangkok (that includes monorails and people movers, but not Bus Rapid Transit systems). This page includes news updates for each line, and these updates are featured in the Future Southeast Asia Newsletter. Subscribe to get weekly updates on transit news in Bangkok.

Bangkok Mass Transit System Maps
With multiple rail operators and no central metro website, it can be hard to find official maps. There are a number of good unofficial maps though, so every known map is listed here.
These maps are placed in two sections: current and under-construction maps, and future maps showing every proposal (even if they won’t get built).
Current and under construction maps
The official future Bangkok mass transit map is known as the M-Map. This map shows current lines and lines under construction, but not other planned lines which may or may not happen. Here is an official Thai version of the M-Map which was uploaded to Wikimedia.
[Click for full size.]
Here is a busier version of the M-Map in Thai and English (via this archived government link).

A clearer unofficial version of the M-Map can be found at the Wiki page Mass Rapid Transit Master Plan in Bangkok Metropolitan Region. This map (“Bangkok Mass Rapid Transit System 2022”) shows lines in operation (solid) and lines under construction (with white) on real landscape scale.

Oran Viriyincy has made a great transit-style map showing current und under construction lines. The map is best viewed at bangkoktransitmap.com.

The Bangkok map by UrbanRail.Net continues to be regularly updated.
[Bangkok by UrbanRail.Net.]
The “System Map of Bangkok Rail Transit Network” by 2bangkok.com is surprisingly fresh considering that it was last updated on 9 January 2005. This map pre-empted all the M-Map lines by not distinguishing between current and under construction. This map shows the Yellow Line monorail but not the Pink Line monorail, and it shows the SRT colours differently. 2bangkok was a treasure trove of old transport and infrastructure news for Bangkok, but it is not updated.

Future maps with every proposed line
BKK Greg was one of the first to make sense of the all of the proposed lines with this Google Map showing the real line locations.

Another Google Map by ikkue is titled “Bangkok Metropolitan Region’s Railway System”.

The Wiki page for Mass Rapid Transit Master Plan in Bangkok Metropolitan Region also has a full map of every proposed line shown on real landscape scale. You need to click out to the full size to read it. The map creator also posted it on Reddit.

Oran Viriyincy has also made an expanded map showing every proposed line. His website has a comprehensive history of the maps of the evolving Bangkok transit system, with notes on his own work.
A transit-style map was posted by username archstudent at SkyscraperCity. This map is useful for showing Bangkok and surrounding provinces in separate colours, giving an idea of the reach into the metropolitan Bangkok area.

LivingPop have created a map with every proposed line, but at this point it’s only in Thai. They have a map of current lines which is in English, so this might be updated to English as well.
