Bangkok Light Blue Line Monorail

January 9, 2024 By James Clark Leave a Comment

Bangkok Light Blue Line Monorail

The Light Blue Line is a proposed monorail in Bangkok. The line would run along a north–south axis from Din Daeng to Sathon. The line was included on the Department of Rail Transport’s masterplan for Bangkok (The Second Mass Rapid Transit Master Plan in Bangkok Metropolitan Region (M-MAP 2)). This masterplan was updated in 2023, but there are no plans to build the Light Blue Line at this point.

The line length would be approximately 9.5 km with 9 stations:

Pracha Songkhro (MRT Orange Line)
Mit Maitri
Din Daeng
Makkasan (MRT Blue Line/ARL/SRT)
Phetchaburi
Phloen Chit (BTS Sukhumvit Line)
Lumphini (MRT Blue Line)
Suan Phlu
Chong Nonsi (BTS Silom Line)
