The Ministry of Transport has just decided to put into use four new stations under the project of renovating and upgrading essential works in the Nha Trang – Saigon section this July. According to information from the Ministry of Transport, four new stations, including three stations in Binh Thuan province, include Phong Phu station (Phong Phu commune, Tuy Phong district), Vinh Tan station (Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong district). Phong), Ham Liem station (Ham Liem commune, Ham Thuan Bac district) and one station in Khanh Hoa province is Cam Thinh Dong station (Cam Thinh Dong commune, Cam Ranh city).

According to the Railway Project Management Board (Ministry of Transport), with the characteristics of a single railway line, an average of 9-10 km must have a station to operate to yield and avoid trains. Four new stations in the middle of these spaces are technical stations, mainly for giving way and avoiding trains.

In the event of an incident along the main line such as an accident, road damage, etc., leading to changes in the train schedule, trains must wait for each other, there will be more stations to stop waiting, avoid, reduce congestion on the main line, reduce traffic jams. train waiting time. The project’s objective is to renovate and upgrade the railway in order to increase infrastructure capacity and ensure safety, not to increase speed and shorten train running time for the whole route.
