This is a trip report for major projects in the city of Hue in Vietnam. A full list of projects can be found on the Future Thua Thien Hue page.
Hue Construction Projects
Hue Square
Location: 44-54 Le Loi, Phu Hoi Ward, Hue.
Hue Square is a 9-storey hotel project near the walking street tourist area by the Perfume River. Workers were on-site at the time of my visit.
Goldland Plaza
Location: 20 Ly Thuong Kiet, Vĩnh Ninh, Hue.
The Goldland Plaza project has stalled, and the website (goldgroup.com.vn) is not working.
VNPT Tower
Location: Corner Ha Noi and Ly Thuong Kiet, Vĩnh Ninh, Hue.
The VNPT office tower project has stalled.

Khach San Dong Duong (Indochina Hotel)
Location: 2 Hung Vuong, Phu Nhuan, Hue.
This hotel has topped out, but it doesn’t appear to be active.
Ecogarden Urban Area
Location: Thuy Thanh, Huơng Thuy, Hue.
Ecogarden Urban Area by Cotana Group is under construction, and I noticed a few billboards around town advertising the project.
The shophouses on the main road were finished, and some businesses were moving in.
This bun bo hue restaurant has already moved in and gives a hint of what the street will look like.
I saw this coffee roastery on Google Maps, so I instructed my Grab Taxi rider to drop me off there. The cafe wasn’t open yet.
Some of the housing sections appeared to be finished, but the roads were closed for entry.
Phu My An Hue New Urban Area Project
Location: To Huu and Vo Nguyen Giap, An Dong, Hue.
Phu My An is one of several new urban areas to the east of the city.
Nera Garden
Location: 17 To Huu, An Dong, Hue.
The two towers of the Nera Garden project are all but finished.
Nera Garden is an early landmark of this new urban area, and it is still surrounded by rice fields.
This promotional image shows Nera Garden (centre), and the rice fields in my previous picture are the building on the right.
The future image also shows a big pedestrian ring above a big intersection. Here is what the current intersection looks like.

Koreana Twin Tower Hue
Location: To Huu and Vo Nguyen Giap, An Dong, Hue.
Koreana Twin Tower is on the same corner of that big pedestrian ring and in front of the Phu My An development. There is no indication on the site that this project is going ahead.
Phu Xuan City
Location: Vo Nguyen Giap and Hoang Lanh, An Dong, Hue.
Website: Phu Xuan City is in the early stages of preparation. A new road was being laid in front of the project.
26-28 Le Loi Hotel (Proposed)
The mansion at 26 Le Loi was approved this year to be relocated for a hotel project on 26-28 Le Loi. The mansion is still at its Le Loi address.
Transport
Phu Bai International Airport
A new terminal is being built at Phu Bai International Airport (HUI), which will eventually replace the current terminal for passenger use.
