Bac Ninh province is located in the Red River Delta region of Vietnam. The province is to the east of Hanoi and is considered as part of the Hanoi Capital Region.
Bac Ninh is one of the major industrial provinces in Vietnam, and it has become a high-tech manufacturing hub. Some of the big names that have set up in in Bac Ninh include Samsung, Foxconn, Microsoft, and Canon. The province has benefitted from companies looking to diversify manufacturing outside of China.
The capital of the province is also called Bac Ninh, and the other main city is Tu Son. The province has been nominated to become a centrally-administered city by 2030 (joining Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, HCMC and Can Tho with this status).

Bac Ninh Twin Towers (proposed)

Bac Ninh Twin Towers is a two-tower project in the city centre of Bac Ninh. The towers are also referred to as Him Lam Twin Towers (the clients name).
The tallest tower is 188 metres (45 floors), and the project will include apartments and a hotel.

Transport
Hanoi–Dong Dang railway
Bac Ninh is on the Hanoi–Dong Dang railway line, which is the line that the Hanoi-Nanning service operates on. The passenger service to China is currently not operating.
The Hanoi-Dong Dang railway will be upgraded as part of a plan to connect China and Vietnam with 3 lines. This upgraded line will be able to operate a commuter railway from Hanoi to Bac Ninh.
Yen Vien – Cai Lan railway
Yen Vien – Cai Lan railway was the planned upgrade of the Hanoi-Ha Long railway. The line begins at Yen Vien in Hanoi, passes through Lim in Bac Ninh, and continues towards Pha Lai in Hải Dương province.
The project has stalled with no sign of restarting. The most recent update reported that Bac Ninh requested the railway to be elevated.

Urban railway
An urban railway system has been proposed for Bac Ninh, but there are no details of the lines.
