The George Town–Butterworth LRT is a proposed railway connecting George Town on the island of Penang to Butterworth on the mainland side of Penang state.
The George Town–Butterworth Line was added to the Penang Transport Master Plan (PTMP) in 2022 and has not been approved. The most recent announced proposed that the line should be via an undersea tunnel.
The George Town–Butterworth LRT would connect the Bayan Lepas LRT and the KTM railway station in Butterworth.
