It serves as a multimodal transportation hub linking the HSR with the existing local trains, connecting the station with Bandung’s central station. This configuration seems to serve as a band aid solution before Bandung has a proper LRT to link the city with the HSR station in Tegalluar. Bandung’s mayor (or was it West Java’s governor?) also suggested that the HSR may be linked with Kertajati airport, so maybe the northern route option may still be on the table after all….
